General Clinics

We operate general medical services from Monday-Saturday. These include routine appointments for any medical issue.

Unfortunately our nurses only have LIMITED AVAILABILITY for BLOOD TESTS and we politely ask patients who are more easily mobile to consider using these other places that are specifically contracted to carry out blood tests locally:

  • Luton & Dunstable Hospital (no appointment necessary) – open Mon-Fri 07:30-16:00
  • Marsh Farm Health Centre – to book an appointment call 0333 4050043 between 1pm and 4pm
  • Wigmore Lane Health Centre – to book call 01582 707356 between 10am and 2pm
  • All children (under 13 years) are to have their blood tests at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital by appointment only – to book call 01582 497224 between 8am and 10am.

Specialist Clinics

As well as routine and urgent on-the-day appointments being offered Monday-Friday, we also offer the following specialist clinics:

Tuesday Mornings

Community Midwife Clinic

Smoking Cessation Clinic – these can be booked through reception directly. You are 6 times more likely to have a successful quit attempt with the help of a smoking cessation advisor! They can also give you access to FREE Nicotine Replacement Therapies and other medication

Tuesday Afternoons

Sexual Health Clinic (young persons <24) – this is a satellite clinic run entirely by the Luton and Dunstable Hospital but held in the practice. for more information and instructions on how to book go to: http://www.lutonsexualhealth.org.uk/clinic-times/#

Wednesday

Ultrasound Clinic - we are in a very fortunate position to offer a weekly NHS ultrasound scanning service at the practice. This clinic can be used by any patient in the local area and it will certainly improve access to ultrasound investigations locally.

Thursday Mornings

Mental Health Clinic* – this is a clinic that our GP’s can access for patients who’s mental health needs are too serious or urgent to wait for other community services but not so severe or urgent they require immediate hospital treatment. If you think you might benefit from this service please see your GP to discuss a referral.

*This is not the same as the counselling service offered by the Luton Well Being Service and can only be booked by a GP for patients fitting specific criteria. Patients can self refer for counselling, psychological therapies and CBT via the Luton Well Being Service: https://www.lutonwellbeingservice.nhs.uk/

Saturday Morning Clinic

General Clinic*

*The Saturday Morning Clinic is only for pre-booked, routine appointments. There is no facility for emergency appointments or home visits on this day. Urgent matters on a Saturday, if they cannot wait until Monday, should be dealt with via the 111 service.
